Right Moves for Youth Volunteer Kenny Liles

There are so many kind words that we can use to describe Kenny Liles, but the words that we believe are most fitting is child advocate. Liles has been voulnteering for RMFY for twenty years now. Initially, he was asked to help out at a club at Randolph Middle School. Since then Liles has stayed committed to giving back and making a positive impact on his community. Mr. Liles does not just have one memorable experience, but he takes pride in the fact that 99% of students in his club graduate from high school and many go to a post-secondary institution. Much of Liles' drive come from not growing up with a father in his home. He feels that some children just need someone to talk to to help guide them through the struggles and joys of life. Liles urges adults who do not currently volunteer to turn the television off and to look around their neighborhood and see where a helping hand is needed. Due to his hardwork and dedication, Liles was name the 2011 Mentor of the Year by the Mayor's Mentoring Alliance. Liles does not take credit for his success, but gives honor to God, and would like to thank the students and staff of Right Moves for Youth.
