The Volunteer Spotlight

Timothy Fowler has been serving as a pre-k teacher and Right Moves For Youth club leader at Morehead Elementary for the past 3 years.   Timothy has  been educating children for more than 15 years.

"I decided to become part of Right Moves for Youth to help children build character, leadership skills, and educational scholarship.  I'm hoping that the skills that I teach my club members will prepare them for life.  This goes way beyond the game of basketball.  Winning is great, but knowledge is power."

Christine Saleem began serving as a Right Moves for Youth Club Leader at James Martin Middle School in the Fall of 1991.  She has also been volunteering as a Club Leader with the Chemical Dependency Center's "Girl Power"  RMFY community club for the past nine years.

"It's a pleasure to see them become successful and succeed in school and the world.   Some of my students have graduated from college, some are working or married . It makes me feel good to know that I have reached students and touched their lives in a positive way. I truly thank the Right Moves organization for having this program in the CMS schools and in the communities.  I have seen these young girls grow and become beautiful ladies ."
