Leading with Purpose: RMFY Ambassadors Shine on Presentation Night

On May 8, 2025, Broach Hall of St. John’s Baptist Church transformed into a stage of passion, purpose, and power. The annual Right Moves For Youth Ambassador Presentation Night was not just an event—it was a powerful statement: young people have voices worth listening to and visions worth following.

This year’s theme, Social Impact, gave RMFY Ambassadors a platform to explore—and confront—real-world challenges affecting their communities. Through thoughtful research, bold storytelling, and courageous truth-telling, our students tackled issues such as poverty and homelessness, healthcare access, mental health, and immigration. Each group poured their heart into crafting presentations that not only informed but inspired.

These students are more than leaders—they are changemakers.

The RMFY Ambassador Program, established in 2013, is the highest tier of youth leadership in our organization. It’s where rising student leaders grow through civic engagement, develop their voices, and learn the skills needed to ignite change. On this night, every speaker embodied what it means to make the right moves—with strength, empathy, and conviction.

From Deloris Hamrick’s bold recitation of the RMFY Hi-5 Pledge, to the thoughtful facilitation by our dedicated program staff, to the closing words from Executive Director Ryan Grammatico—the evening was full of moments that stirred the soul and reminded us of what’s possible when we believe in youth.

But here’s the truth: our students can’t do it alone. Their voices need platforms. Their potential needs opportunities. And their passion needs partners.

✨ You can be part of this.
